How We Rate — Our Sourcing Standard

Every figure on this site traces to a named source. Here's exactly what that means and what it doesn't.

What we do

  • Cite a named primary source for every statistic — NASMM, AARP, U.S. Census Bureau, FMCSA, CareScout/Genworth, or an equivalent named organization
  • Date every page and note when it was last checked against sources
  • Label cost ranges drawn from industry cost guides as estimates, not quotes, and name the source
  • Point readers to how to independently verify a credential (NASMM's own directory) or a mover's registration (FMCSA's SAFER system) rather than asking them to take our word for it

What we won't publish

  • Fabricated reviews, testimonials, or personas — including invented "we tested this" claims
  • Unsourced statistics presented as fact
  • Precise pricing presented as a guarantee rather than a market range
  • Medical, legal, or financial advice beyond what a named source directly supports
